All Night Long Passion Harlequin Presents series No 2170 Anne Mather 9780373121700 Books

I read Stolen Summer, Sinful Pleasure and All Night Long all by Anne Mather, back to back. It was a mistake because I noticed that there
were way too many similarities between the books. I liked this book better than Sinful Pleasures and but not as much as Stolen Summer.

SPOILERS

Things contained in all books: Older heroines/younger heroes in their 20's.

The heroes in all books already have girlfriends who they are going to get engaged to prior to meeting the heroines. Unfortunately there is cheating, which I dislike. The only saving thing about it is that the heroes do not get sexual with their girlfriends after being intimate with the heroines. However, they don't break up with the girlfriends right away each other, which angered me.

In all books the hero is connected with heroines' friends/family who is going to stay with on vacation. In this story, Ben, the hero is the son of herone's girlfriend. In Sinful Pleasures the hero Remy, is her friend and stepsister's son. In All Night Long, the hero Raul is dating the heroine's friend's daughter.

All of the books have sex scenes although the only ones that I thought were good were in Stolen Summer. There are two in All Night Long and the first is merely the heroine thinking about what happened in the past, all telling and no showing and the other is at the end and mediocre. In Sinful Pleasures I do not remember the specific scenes but know that I thought that they were lacking in passion.

In Stolen Summer and Sinful Pleasures the heroines did too much chasing for my liking. The men were easily put off by them initially telling them no and stayed away from them. The heroines were the ones that went to see the heroes on more than one occasion after that including at the end of the story when the couples were estranged. The heroes in those books would have let the relationships go if the heroines did not pursue it. One of the men had decided to move to Africa and so he had no plans to see the heroines again. In All Night Long the hero did most of the chasing which I prefer including going to see her after being separated.

Two of the stories had HFN endings and one had a HEA ending with an epilogue which I preferred. I felt more secure
that couple would stay together. The other two couples had more obstacles to overcome.

All Night Long Passion Harlequin Presents series No 2170 Anne Mather 9780373121700 Books Reviews

Must be going immoral in my old age because I loved this book LOL! Will post a longer review later as I'm at work! (the fact that I was reading this work just goes to show I could not bear to put it down LOL)
4 1/2 Stars! ~ This was such a treat! Raul is nine years younger than Ally, who is recently divorced and feeling very unattractive. She can't fathom that Raul could be attracted to her, let alone have actual feelings for her. Anne Mather has always been a favourite author of mine, this book is a prime example of why.

All Night Long by Anne Mather
~ Harlequin Presents #2170 ~ April 2001

From the back cover ...

A night of desire, a lifetime of passion?

Ally Sloan's flattered when a gorgeous stranger seeks her out. Single again, after years in a loveless marriage, a heady night of desire is just what she needs to boost her confidence and remind her that life can be passionate. Off to the Bahamas the following day, Ally tells herself she's relieved not to be seeing Raul again -- she is older than he is, after all! But more than one surprise awaits her in the sultry heat of the Caribbean....
